The chia seed is an ancient dietary staple that has recently regained prominence in naturopathic circles. Historically, native peoples of North, Central, and South America have used this seed from the salvia hispanica plant because it was found to enhance endurance, provide long-lasting energy, and served as a source of medicinal remedies. A core element of the diet of pre-Columbian civilizations, specifically of the Aztec warriors, this natural product served not only as a staple of their diet, but it proved to be especially beneficial during hunting expeditions, battle, and everyday running between villages for trade. Today, scientists and health specialists are rediscovering this food’s naturally occurring nutritional benefits and are encouraging its use among people of all health levels and goals.

Made from chrysanthemum flowers grown right here at Rhibafarms. We dry and package the tea at our farm locally as well. Chrysanthemum Tea is used in traditional Chinese medicine as a remedy for sore throat and a fever reducer. According to the internet, other uses range from treatment for varicose veins to a liver cleanser. We mostly use it as a tasty afternoon tea.

Greek oregano originates from the mountain slopes of Greece, but we only have to take a stroll out to the greenhouse to harvest ours. Many cooks prefer Greek oregano to normal varieties of oregano. Great for sauces, salads, pizza and anything else that needs a punch of savory flavor.

We grow our rosemary at both our Chandler and Gilbert locations, in the greenhouse and in the dirt and pretty much everywhere else. It loves growing in Arizona. This rosemary is harvested and dried for your convenience. Rosemary is a great tool to have in the kitchen, it is excellent in tomato sauces, savory soups, breads and out on the grill.
